" That deserves a Mulligan! "

" Oh no, I'll take a Mulligan! " is a phrase you've probably heard before. For those unfamiliar, taking a Mulligan means giving yourself a second chance because your first shot wasn't good! Of course, Mulligans are a practice done among friends; you'll never see an amateur or professional claiming they're entitled to a Mulligan during a competition.

But why do we say a Mulligan?

The story goes that a group of golfers in Canada were always waiting for the same person: Dr. David Mulligan . We all know someone like him! Always late and out of breath, he never had time to warm up properly like the others, and consequently, he often missed his first ball. His friends were quite kind and let him have a second ball, and that's how the expression " the Mulligan ball " came about!

There are, however, certain rules "among friends":

- You are only allowed one Mulligan per person during a single game

- You can take the Mulligan at any time during the game

- Whether we do better or worse by taking the Mulligan, it's that ball that counts!

So you need to think twice about it!
