" This deserves a Mulligan! "

" Ah no, I'll take a Mulligan! " are phrases you've probably heard before. For those who don't know, taking a Mulligan means giving yourself a second chance because your first shot wasn't any good! Of course, Mulligans are only played between friends, and no amateur or professional will ever claim to be entitled to a Mulligan in a competition.

But why do we say a Mulligan?

The story goes that a group of golfers in Canada always found themselves waiting for the same person: Dr. David Mulligan. We all know someone like him! Always late and out of breath, he never had time to warm up properly like the others, so he often missed his first ball. His friends were kind enough to let him have a second ball, and that's when the expression " Mulligan's ball " was born!

There are, however, certain rules "among friends":

- only one Mulligan may be taken per person during the same game

- the Mulligan can be taken at any time during the game

- whether you do better or worse with the Mulligan, it's the ball that counts!

So think twice!
