LAP DISTANCE, ALL-ROUND PERFORMANCE

TP5x is our fastest and longest Tour ball, with a 5-layer design featuring four increasingly rigid layers encased in molded urethane. It offers unrivalled performance off the tee and on approach, without sacrificing feel on scoring shots.

IMPROVING SPIN & FEEL GREENSIDE

While retaining the formula that makes the TP5x a leader in speed and distance, we've added a softer cast urethane cover for increased groove interaction on greenside shots for more spin and better feel.

THE PATH OF DISTANCE

The distance path has evolved with the all-new TP5x. In 2017, a movement began with the optimal spin and launch conditions provided by our 5-layer construction. Then we increased ball speed with the HFM Speed Layer and now we've added advanced aerodynamics with the new Tour Flight Dimple model.

New touring flight dimple model

Our most aerodynamic dimple design to date now produces explosive travel distances. This unique design features a 322-dimple pattern designed to deliver improved aerodynamics. It features an overall shallow dimple to reduce drag during ascent, with steep walls to trap air during descent to maintain lift and keep the ball in the air longer.

5-layer construction

The key to achieving improved speed without negatively affecting spin performance comes from TaylorMade's patented 5-layer ball construction. Featuring a Tri-Fast core that offers maximum carry and low drag, and a Dual-Spin cover that includes a soft, highly durable molded urethane cover, the TP5x delivers complete tee-to-green performance without sacrifice. The ultimate result is a ball that promotes fast launch, maximum carry distances and a steep downhill angle for extra braking power - especially on long irons.

Speed-Layer system

The Speed-Layer system is made up of four increasingly rigid layers to produce more ball speed. The result is greater tee-carry distance, more control in the wind and more spin around the greens.

High-Flex Material (HFM)

The TP5x features a material called HFM (High-Flex Material), offering higher ball speeds thanks to a greater rebound effect. HFM acts like a tightly wound spring that generates energy and bounces back quickly, generating more ball speed.
